I think you just have to understand that some people can do multiple things at once safely, and others don't have that ability or refuse to acknowledge such possibilities. A similar comparison would be a student that does his best studying in front of a TV or at a busy Starbucks. Some people can do it, while for others it's completely impossible.

Basically, what you're saying is that if you have a conversation with someone while driving, you're endangering people. What's the difference between me talking to myself on a motorcycle, and you talking to yourself or someone else in your car? And have you ever been a passenger in a car and talked to the driver? According to your assumptions, that would be endangering you, the driver, and others.
