you're right, it doesn't make sense...but it's not the first time in true blood. remember when Eric said that he hasn't seen his maker for over 70 years in S2? then in S3 we get a nice shot of Eric and Godric in WW2! it's either a) Eric has a reeeally bad sense of time or b) (and I think it's the case) it was the writers' mistake...and I have a hunch they'll make another mistake again when comin up with a story for Pam in S5 'cause there've been a hint already of her being a hooker, we'll see =D

@natedogs212 NO FUCKING SHIT, but the American troops(which showed in the episode) where not in Poland... evne if they were in Poland, in 1939 it's still 5-6 years off. when it's that many years gone no one is going to say exact fucking date.. I know I don't usually when someone asks what happens ohh that shit was like 5 years ago or 10 years ago. WHO THE HELL SAYS approximate date these days... kids these days

@12TheEnigma: In the WW2 scene we actually see an American soldier; the allied forces invaded Europe on D-day June 1944. But close enough time-wise; and I wouldnt think that a 1000 year old vampire would be that specific about the miscalculation of a decade ore to... :)

LOL at the comments. I've read all the books and I am sure that Pam was not even a hooker she was just well a young girl who liked her next door neighbors cousin or something & Eric turned her then. in the books. I quite like True Blood (the programme) as although they fucked up claudine & calvin norris & jason not turning into a panther GRRRRRR FFS! they still kept lafayette on which i am so glad about, made jessica & created Jesus. I cant wait for season 5 as season 4's ending was amazing!!
