the Ruckus Lifers are at it again. this time the crew looks for adventure at Red Rock Canyon state park in the Mojave desert. watch as our heroes attack the pavement and sand in search of the ultimate RADventure.

our journey starts in the foothills of pasadena as the ruck lifers ride the winding turns thru the angeles forest freeway and emerge out the other side in the Palmdale / Lancaster area aka the high desert. we ride on the sierra highway northbound till we hit the small town of Mojave. thats where we bought most of our food and perishables. we then jumped on the the 14 freeway and rode about 25 miles to the Ricardo campgrounds in the Red Rock Canyon State park. it was a 4.5 hour ride.

after setting up our campsite, we explored the nightmare gulch and dove springs OHV trails around the way for a couple hours before the sun started to go down.

next day we packed up and headed out to the north edge of the red rock area to check out the Burro Schmidt tunnel, old borax mines, and the old Walt Bickel mining camp in the last chance canyon.

the riding was gnarly. constant fishtailing in the soft sand made just staying on the ruckus a challenge. but the sights we saw and the trails we blazed were definitely some off the beaten path type of spots. i dare any other scooter to try and tackle the terrain we rode... total craze. Ruckus Life for life!

  • epic win!, yo are those stock ruckus's?

  • we are all stock.

  • Sweet video man. I bet you spent more on food and beer than on gas. Do you take a tool kit, extra tire, patch kit, tubes, and a CO2 inflater or pump? And how did the Ruck do up steep dirt hills being an automatic and all? I think this is a very economical way to explore. You've got great video skills, Good job.

  • it wasn't too bad. it was my 3rd time to red rock, but first time on my ruckus. i planned the trip out pretty well. had everything mapped out like the last stops to get gas and food before it became a baron wasteland. yeah, we got all our supplies and emergency equips with us. super fun, you should definitely do it if you and your friends have time.

look up the SCOOTSTARS on youtube and checkout the dudes that inspired me to do this

  • fun vids, great editing & music

  • I adore the "Gold Lion" remix. The vids are entertaining, but I keep watching because the music is the grooviest. You should seriously make a soundtrack for your ruckus vids. I'd buy it.

  • I am a big red rock fan! My friends and myself would load up our dirrt bikes and head down thier 2-3 times a year all through high school and the year after! I am actually heading down thier for the first time since I've seperated from the military here on thursday! I have had alot of great times down thier in the desert.
