Why was the ending to the show so crappy though ? One of the best shows of the late 90's/early 00's but such a sucky ending .. i was disappointed

Demons don't come from another planet, they come from Hell.

Remember that, to extraterrestrial life forms, WE are aliens. Doesn't mean the humans in "Angel" are gods.

@MisterMaster389 but thats my point too. what makes someone/thing a god? A. being more powerful than you and B. calling them a god. so shes a god as far as i'm concerned.

That's why point, just because Angel and the rest call her "god" doesn't make Illirya a god, anymore that Superman or Number Four (from "I Am Number Four") or the Doctor (from "Doctor Who") are gods.

@MisterMaster389 well i guess its time to wax philosophical then. if gods are physical beings than they are probably not of this planet, making them aliens. it is all a matter of perspective. imagine you r a caveman going about clubbing rats and making tools from bones, all of a sudden a being appears out of nowhere with lights and sounds and teaches you to speak a simple language. then teaches you fire and farming, suddenly you do not worry about starving and r grateful, you name them: "god"

But she ISN'T, she's actually an alien being.

All the "ritual" did was open a portal to the alien's home dimension.

Sure, she has superpowers, but that's because she's an alien being.

The reason why Angel and other call Illirya "god", "demon" or "Old One" is because they've never seen an alien before and can't comprehend the fact that aliens exist.

It's like in "Stargate": all those aliens who were called "gods" because they didn't know that aliens existed.
