Be nice to see you go into optimizing blog layouts. Hardest thing about wordpress is, most of the themes aren't that customizable, or if they are, you can only control a very narrow amount of variables.
Or...premium themes tend to offer more? Do you think AdSense is the best thing to get passive income without a personal product like a physical item or e-book?

CAN I JUST GO ON WORD PRESS AND SET UP INSTEAD OF BLUE HOST?

Yes, but then you'd be on a free hosted wordpress site, not a self hosted one. With a self hosted one, you can advertise on the site and have a LOT more options for themes and plugins and customization (and permalinks too). With going through wordpress (com not org), although it's free, you definitely limit yourself bigtime.

So bluehost cost $7 a month. Are there additional charges? Does it cost anything for the word-press...or is the total cost for the creation of that blog $7 a month?

Bluehost is $7/month (and actually if you buy two years worth it's only $6 a month), and you don't NEED anything else. There are upgrades for security and protection, but you don't need those things. The only other thing I can justify paying for is the extra $4.95 (i think, not monthly though) for domain privacy so your name and address doesn't show when someone looks up the owner of the website. Hope this helps!
