are you trying to say that what this monster did what he did because he was adopted? well, i was adopted[thank god] and i am a normal avarage person .other people who were adopted:charles dickens,greg louganis,john lennon,faith hill nat king cole ,just to name a few. yes, thear are some killers who were adopted but thear are also plenty who come from normal households.this man was obviosly a psychopath and that has nothing to do with adoption!!!

I'm not at all trying to say any of the crimes commited were due to adoption. I actually meant the adoption comments to be taken sarcastically. All my research of Gerald documentations kept referring to the fact that he was adopted and how it was a factor in his mental state/ characteristics. I found this reoccuring refferance to be an extremly poor excususe/justification and found it quite unfathomable. To make a long story short I am sorry for any offence I have caused, it was not intended.

There is tons of controversy surrounding this guy's criminal history and conviction. And his "abnormal childhood" goes far beyond merely being adopted. A psychopath. 1% of the population. My feeling about serial killers, is they should not be put to death, a sentence of life with no chance of parole. Should they "feel" the urge to clear-up unsolved cases in their name they will be alive to do so and maybe ease some of the anguish their victims' families suffer.

Since when has Norway been "Strong" at anything? The common denominator of being adopted for a few serial killers is hardly a 'trend' or a forgone conclusion. And to link the two events together just doesnt seem logical. Dont u think all commonalities of serial killers must be examined before any conclusions are made?

@UntoldBillions I think u need to do more research on your statement. Many many boys, and not just Jewish children, are circumsized for whatever reason with no ill effects. You just cannot make such a statement without data to back it up.

I think it is unfair to point to adoption as a motive or reason. Not only are the vast majority of adoptees perfectly stable, Stano was adopted as a baby so was not able to feel the trauma of seperation from his parents wich is commonly what causes such trauma to occur. He was simply a serial killer because of a mental disability such as sociopathy which is not controlled by trauma or especially adoption.
