The universe was born 13.7 billion years ago with the Big Bang. But what was there before? Scientists are starting to get an answer thanks to the time-travelling Planck mission....

  • @Shukie6174 BBC used to have a 5 video series What happened before the big bang, that i watched 2 years ago, Shame that it's no longer on youtube. today.

  • @84singularity simple example of how all the matter will gather..

    watch?v=Bwc6L1a3Gdk

  • Before the big bang had been two black holes and whole the mass of the universe was in them. One black hole consists of normal matter and other anti-matter. They encountered and therefore has become the big bang. Now the whole mass of the universe will gather in two black holes because super-massive do not emit (the last two black holes and the last thing before next Big B.) and the cycle will be repeated infinitely. Just can't explain how will get a black hole of anti-matter.

  • @Shukie6174

Everything about this will be always just a theory. We'll never know the answer. I think It's beyond human comprehension what was before the big bang.

  • ill tell u the real truth...Before the big bang there was Micheal Bay.

  • @Tarpana WRONG who's to say that there wasn't a completely different time-frame before the big bang?

  • The Big Bang had neither a particular point in time, nor a particular place. It was the beginning of the Spacetime. There wasn't no BEFORE and no WHEREAS, when everything was consolidated in a singularity. So the causality, which determines the course of the world, only exists because of the Big Bang. The Big Bang itself is the requirement of causality and it can't be liable to the same! We even exist without a cause!

  • I think the reason why our current knowledge of physics can't tell us what is "behind the wall" is because that is the point at which physics was different. That is the point at which pressure changed in a way which created physics as we know it. Before then, physical properties were not as we know them, and mathematics we're using to find them doesn't work, because the numbers would have been different for then.

  • of course noone knows what happened before, it might even be the case that this always was, the greatest thing about it is what do you think :) a terrible trip is to make some kind of sense to satisfy our curiousity because the irony is we don't know yet. imagine we found out, it would only open up similar questions, the overwhelming realisation is how do i make the most of this vessel i have for 70 years?
