There was no reason to suspect Dr Tuttle. She said nothing to make her a suspect. However, as a Psychologist...she acted guilty..and over reacted to everything. She was innocent so it is highly unlikely that she would fall apart so easily.

The "lawyer" was attracted to her. That is why he kept coming back. He was simply a guardian of sorts. She was the teacher so of course she was asked many questions about his personality.

Sorry i stopped watching this movie when the teacher got friendly with lawyer who she knew was a friend of the young dead student. In real life any friends of the dead man would have been polietly avoided by the manslaughter not to put herself in an awkward pos. esp. knowing he was a LAWYER he would have been avoided at all costs just in case.

Good acting though up to that point.

I watched this movie after reading Mr Playboy about Hef. It said he and his first wife to be saw this movie and then she confessed to an affair with a teacher. It turned out to be a pretty good movie, rather racy. It just goes to show that the people who wrote scripts back then were trained in literature and book writing, so they knew how to develop stories. Now most who write for movies train in "screenwriting" so they have their minds on how it will all look instead of the actual plot.
