Cloud x Tifa - Love Grows

*PLEASE READ FIRST STORY/EXPLANATION*

For the story, please continue to the next paragraph, this is my explanation. Okay, SO, let me just say that I still do not like this pairing. I have nothing against those who do, I just don't. I can see why people like it though and I occansionaly will watch and look at Cloti things, but I essentially view it as a crack pairing. So don't worry my fellow Clerith's! I have not abondoned you! I just wanted to make this. ^_^

STORY:

So, Cloud and Tifa are happy together. Or so it seems. One day, Tifa gets into her usual trouble and Cloud comes to her rescue. He takes her back home and they end up falling asleep. Cloud awakes in the late afternoon. As he looks over Tifa's sleeping figure, he has a rush of memories. Zack, his best friend who he couldn't protect, and Aerith, the girl he fell in love with on their journey, whose death he also blames on himself. Cloud begins to feel like he has no right being happy when their deaths are his fault. That night, he resolves to end it with Tifa.
"Tifa."
"Go."
Tifa is heartbroken and runs away. Cloud is left alone in agony, and has a flashback of the first night he spent with Tifa.
As he recalls this, Tifa's words before he told her to leave come to him.
"Which is it? Us...or a memory?"
Cloud thinks about his life and suddenly finds himself in Aerith's prescence.
"I think I want to be forgiven," he tells her.
"More than anything."
Aerith turns, and Zack is beside her.
"Everthings...alright." she says as she turns and Zack waves his final goodbye.
Cloud then goes to where Zack died and leaves his sword there, saying his own goodbye to them.
After he leaves, he calls Tifa. Tifa is cleaning downstairs when she hears the phone. She picks it up, and somehow, even though Cloud is silent, she knows it's him.
Cloud rushes to where Tifa is, and with a simple nod of the head from both of them, they are finally back together.
They spend the night together and Cloud finds himself in a dream. He can feel the warmth of Aerith's hand. Aerith looks at him one last time, and sheds a tear as she finally lets him go.
Cloud wakes up to Tifa staring at him. She somehow senses his unresolved feelings for the flower girl. She grabs a pink ribbon, like the one Aerith used to wear, and ties it on Clouds arm, silently telling him that Aerith will always be a part of him and that she is fine with that.
The pair look at each other and smile, and for the first time in a long time, Cloud feels happy.
