Super Mario World Custom Level: Mine Cart Ride

Ok, maybe not like in other games. The idea was to create sort of a mine cart ride out of line-guided sprites, but the sprite speed doesn't quite have the speed I was looking for. Nevertheless, I managed a somewhat fun, but somewhat bland line guided run through what i'm going to call a mine shaft. I know, it looks nothing like a mine shaft, it looks more like a strange ghost house, but it doesn't matter to me.

This is the first level i've made which has had a secret exit worked into it, and that secret exit will be shown after the normal exit is shown. However, the way I set it up, you have to sit through the level twice if you want to see both exits.

Nothing else this time, hopefully a water level next though.

@Xbowser123X Even better, use a custom background. Cave-like background with wooden support beams like in the ghost house. Of course, I don't even know if this is possible with the default tileset setup...

Not bad, nice idea and well carried-out. Kinda reminds me of DKC too :)

I personally think the ghost house background works pretty well with it, but you could perhaps edit out the windows...

Nice music too.

I think it would be better if you used platforms other than grey cement blocks and pirahna plants.
