The fennec wags the tail in case of gladness. When the fennec is too glad and gets excited they bite(or nibble) gently. And, if we touch his tail, they will wag the tail.

  • ... Are you seriously questioning the person who actually owns the fox and suggesting THEY do more research?

I think you need to follow your own advice. Fennecs are not at all like dogs. They are related, yes, but their behaviour only bears very very superficial behaviour to dogs.

The bottom line? FENNECS ARE NOT DOGS.

  • Yes.. Fennec foxes make very unique sounds, even compared to other foxes. They scream when they are happy, and make little whining noises when they are content. Their angry noises are TOTALLY different.

And they are NOT dogs. They wag their tail when they are happy.

  • @mywingsareyours yeah aint their angry noise a snorting growling noise i think i heard it before on another vid

  • My ears...they bleed.

  • For a second I thought he was having a nightmare about Michael Vick.

  • @crazypants1011 It's a sound they emit when they're excited, happy and/or playing.

  • @mywingsareyours seems to me, according to this vid, that the fennec fox is wagging it's tail out of joy. this is also dog behaviour. not picking fights here, but using two similar behaviour patterns to illustrate the difference between a fox & a dog is kind of self-defeating. if you'd said, "the fennec, unlike a cat, wags it's tail when happy" then we'd all have seen your point.
