  • You did not state where you lived. Wait until warm weather and pot them individually. amaryllis are slow growers so it will take 2-3 years for them to bloom. Fertilize them with a water soluable fertilizer weekly. You might consider planting the seedlings in an outside flower garden depending upon your climate. Amaryllis will survive with heavy mulching in the winter. Visit our ebay store at stores.ebay.com.Amaryllis-Man for other helpful information

  • Some varieties will bloom in the third year with proper care however four years is about right.

  • The liquid fertilizer would be Miracle Grow or the generic equivalent.

  • I just harvested seed from mine and now I know how to do it! Thanks.

  • verry good video. Thank you .

  • i have 1 year bulbs (50 bulbs nearly) groved from seeds in a pot. when should i seperate them. and how can make them bigger bulbs.

  • Wow that soil is not the soil you want to use on houseplants.

  • When I was a garden writer I crossed a number of Amaryllis seeds for fun. This winter I had an inadvertant cross between 3 possible parents: Papillio, Pasadena (dble) and Naughty Lady. After drying the mature seeds, I added them to a small bag of damp potting soil, double bagged in sandwich bags, then put them in a lidded pot on my kitchen cupboard to sprout. April 17th. Today July 26th I planted the 30+sprouted seeds in garden soil mix . Bloom in 4 yrs - Is 2 possible?
