Radis demo runs a version of its open source Smoke framework, based on Threading Building Blocks, called horsepower on two machines. This demo shows upto 900 horses running together across a plain an intensive process for any CPU.

While the hardware and software on the two machines is identical, one is running Windows Vista and the other Windows 7. Radi explains the difference between the two and what this means for gamers and developers alike.

  • i am using windows7 & its rocks!!!

  • I notice the difference for the systems I'm running right now. I have two of the same systems and one is running windows7 and the other is vista. 7 does a much better job of handling system resources and graphics then Vista.

    Windows7 is a better OS.

  • me too

  • ...I want windows 7 :'(

  • I haven't tried windows 7 (maybe I would if it wasn't $300). I'm really impressed with Linux's Ubuntu though. It plays games much faster then on my windows xp.

  • money money money .. that's all, win 7 is crap.

  • intresting, thanks.

Way better than those 'solid'-state videos, where you prove nothing but bullshit..

    This was better.

    5/5.

  • 7 its a OS vista.... NOT!

  • it's not smoother on windows 7 at all!!!
