Tyson is exactly what Black America needs, not another church pastor.

I dont' even think he's even talking about race being irrelevant or unimportant. I think he's saying how important VISIBILITY is.

@pjlehan He's what America needs right now, but not what it deserves. So, we'll chase him, hunt him down because he can take it, endure it. He's a Dark Knight. =D

Before Neil, all the "brilliant" blacks in America were leaders of the black community, like Martin Luther King Jr. While such men are certainly worthy of praise, in a way I think Neil has done even more than them. He has demonstrated that blacks can lead in fields even outside of the community itself. As he himself noted, Neil is doing the best thing for the black community by doing something that has NOTHING to do with skin color.

@Jimmyretired whaaat ?
did you happen to know his teachers ? where they white ? and even if his teachers where white, what does that have to do with them educating children and doing a good job.
The concentration of melanin in their skin does not contribute positively or negatively to the education.
Penn Jillette once said that circumstances of birth (your race, your wealth, when & where you were born) are random, and should never be a source of pride or shame. And I have to agree.
