Golden Temple

Went to do some sight seing up in punjab during some location scouting. we went to the Golden Temple, which is just that. A gigantic building plated with 6 inches of solid gold. Pretty cool stuff. They also have singers inside that go on and on 24 hours a day.

First, the singers you mentioned just do not go on and on 24 h a day. They sing hymns in praise of God for most part of the day but definitely not 24 h.

Second, the Golden Temple is not just a building with 6 inches of gold. It also has spiritual connotations and is the holiest shrine of the fifth-largest religion of the world, Sikhism.

Third, may I ask you why you have put this video relating to one of the holiest shrines of a religion in category 'comedy?'

Well one of the locals there told me they sing 24hours, so I think I will believe them before a person with a nickname such as yours. I am not going to describe my experience there, and the spiritual connection my entire trip had on me in a youtube blurb. Thirdly if you look at my other videos which are all in the comedy section they are grouped together.

You guys need to relax. And enjoy the fact that I posted a video of the building not just a silly picture of it.

I think it's cool that you liked the golden temple..aka Harmandar Sahib... It was built by our 5th Guru, Guru Arjan Dev Ji and the gold was put on later by Maharaj Ranjit Singh...

it is a beautiful, mind blowing place and i haven't been in 11 years :( you're soo lucky lol

wow! this place is certainly heavenly. Thanks Matt for posting. I am a Sikh and this place is the holiest for me. I think you made a good video. also, I don't think anything is wrong in the description, it is a holy structure plated with pure gold and the singers you mentioned sing praises of the almighty God almost round the clock (There is a time in the night when rest is observed at the temple). Hope you liked it there ...May God bless

well, i dont think theres anything wrong with what youre saying matty, the guys inside the temple sing, yes 24 hrs, so calling them singers is fine - they're just praying btw but you wouldve been told that down there.

also, i dont see any malice in putting this in the comedy section, as a tourist from a different culture, its very hard to understand the sentimental value this place holds for sikhs.

but good on ya mate, glad you like the place.
