I wouldn't rush to judge her because who knows what's close to her heart and assume ulterior motives. I am just glad she could help bring this issue to light regardless.
Has anyone there realized that "My mom's a soldier" is grammatically incorrect and is actually saying that the mom possesses an "a" and then just says soldier as a noun?

um, it IS grammatically correct. In this case, "Mom's" is a contraction of "Mom" and "is"
kinda like saying "my mom's here." as in "my mom is here"

I wish that Rosie O'Donnell was not invovled with this production.
She has been barbaric with her comments about our troops.
Sad that of all people they got involved with her.
Rosie is only doing it to get get press.
