@TheSuckatash no. His mom taught him how to play guitar at seven cause she played the lap steel guitar and she needed someone to play with her. soooo he learned guitar first. oh yeah and he was poor and didnt have a house so he couldnt have a drum set.

blah blah blah.. Tommy was a drummer before he ever picked up a guitar.. its just natural to him. great great great artist.. wish he would do a extensive U.S. tour soon. Id love to see him

His technique is different but he can keep percussion consistent through soloing, singing, rythm, and even some dancing.
