Mario Kart Wii: What Am I Thinking? 2-4-09

We all know how crazy online racing is, especially with how items usually determine the winner. When I race, a lot of things go through my mind. With the use of You Tube's annotations, you'll be able to see what I was thinking as I was racing. For security reasons, because you never know what might happen out there, I have hidden my true identity by racing as "Rich Petty", after Richard Petty, the 7-time champion of NASCAR. Perhaps you've seen me before.

The last race was part of a terrible Karting session in which I lost 900 VR. This race was part of an even worse Karting session in which I lost 1,000 VR more! I had to stay to record an exciting race for this show. There were two consecutive Bowser's Castle races and both were very exciting. This race is the second and more action-packed of those two. The first race can be seen in "Mario Kart Wii Online Wi-Fi Race #26" by Buschkling. Notice how the VR in that race's results match the starting VR in this race. Besides ☆NeoWii☆ (Buschkling), r♪ (designedmusic) was in this race. Making their debut in this show were Brendan (smashbro47) and Ernie (enieves30). Finally, I decided to race the Sprinter instead of the Wild Wing to add variety to my usual preferences; however, after being reminded of how awful the Sprinter handled, I will never race that hunk of junk again.

Do you mind if I ask a quesiton - please forgive my ignorance. When you're stopped, for instance at 4:01 when you run into the fire (as I do quite often myself), how do you that little "turbo" start, i.e. you don't have to accelerate to get to speed? I'd LOVE to learn how to do that. Thanks and again, I apologize for my ignorance.

Don't worry, no ignorance detected. To get that turbo, accelerate and hold the brake at the same time, then release the brake as soon as you see the sparks.

People are always trying to zap the leader while he or she is making a jump. Having said that, the second zap in this race was totally unexpected.

The babies annoy me, but I could try my hand with a heavy-weight, besides Wario in battle mode, for next season; I've already got my plans lined up for this season.

The Sprinter's not that bad of a vehicle if you know its strengths and weaknesses. I actually did great in some races because of it.
