Prayer is a great idea which, as a sinner, I admit I hadn't thought of.

I going to pray for god to uncreate the malaria parasite--and add an addendum that he uncreate the sickle cell trait, which he will be happy to do since the sickle-cell heterozygotes, which he loves and protects, won't need the protection anymore. He will have no trouble finding another way to punish the homozygous sickle cell individuals for the evil they (and their ancestors) have done.
