I am confused b/c chapter 2 of 2 thessalonians says "3 Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness[a] is revealed, the man doomed to destruction."

Verse 7: For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, ....

Basically, the lawless one must be revealed before the second coming

first of all the rapture and the 2nd coming are two different events

the moment the lawlessness man aka the Anti Christ comes to

power and is revealed then the rapture happens and then the tribulation

starts which lasts for a period of 7 years and then at the end of the tribulation

the 2nd coming happens

@Connerhead, The one of lawlessness is Satan in flesh and bone. The one who holds it back is the body of Jesus Christ: His Church. When Jesus Christ takes"snatches his Church, then Satan is going to appear in flesh and bone appearing to be God and forcing all to bow their heads to him.

@Connerhead actually the rapture happens then the anti christ and False prophet appera....Anti Christ first then False Prophet...The one that Holds it back is the holy Sprite the Third member of the trinity... When a person get baptise the Holy Sprite comes and live in you as a new creation in Christ our Lord .. In order for the Antichrist to come forward the spirte of God must be taken out of the word..

@thejerry18 Agreed. In my youth I thought the rapture AND the 2nd coming were ONE event. (many atheists believes thtis!) But they are TWO SEPERATE events...!
