(YOU CAN'T TAKE) THE MAN IN THE MOON

I've known of this song for some time. I remember Marilyn Middleton Pollock (now Marilyn Mellor) singing it in Chester folk festival about five years ago. Jerry Spurlock wrote it.. After some research I found a site where he sings this song playing an autoharp.. absolutely brilliant.. hope he doesn't mind me doing a version of it.. I've always wanted to travel to the stars.. can't take the moon from the man..

To me a great new ballad, Mike, and I'm absolutely sure that Jerry Spurlock will approve of your brilliant and tender version... which Marilyn Mellor most probably will copy for her next performance. :-)

And by the way, "...can't take the moon from the man...", I like that one! It gives a bit of comfort these days when the banksters take just about everything away from us.
