@Kiwihurricane15 Actually the person you were being abrupt with about Julie's first name...her first name is actually Julia so you might want to do your homeowrk, before you criticize anyone

Well there are 6 tone deaf people listening to this
-
so graceful!! she is so amazing!!

@fresman90210 I disagree with both of you, Carrie sounded just fine. She hits all of the high notes just and she's one person who doesn't use sick as being an excuse. Her powerful vocals took over as usually. She did an excellent performance in honor of Julie Andrews.

i cry T.T

@MrBobsylvester88 I agree with you.. Carrie was sick that night, which may explain her being flat for most of the song. Because she usually can sing those notes. She looked so frustrated. I felt sorry for her on this performance.

@harmoniaSINGS I couldn't have said it better...thanks for posting the perfect comment
I agree with you. Not many musical artists can jump from away their comforted genre to a genre that may not fit their voice role. Carrie has that amazing ability to do that. She took a classic, "The Sound of Music", and managed to keep what made the song timeless, but also added flavor and poise that didn't destroy this amazing song.
I cried the first time I watched this. It's too good.

Well...not to sound too abrupt but if you guys are gonna reference the original artist of this song, you might want to use the correct name. It's JULIE, not Julia. Carrie's a class act just like Julie was.
