@AvirtualSwitzerland Yes !

John C. McGinley does a pretty good impression of Roger Daltrey

Is that Zach Starkey (Ringo's son) on drums?

@jkllad I agree. I saw over a dozen of those 2000 shows, including some in the UK. IMO most of John's soloes were better than the one recorded at Royal Albert. And even so, RAH is the one many people point to as an example of John's jaw-dropping ability, prolly because it's commercially available so more people know it. RAH was a weird show due to all the guests and the high publicity aspect of a charity show.

The only electric bassist to reach John's caliber was the late Jaco Pastorius (of Weather Report and jazz fame). Victor Wooten and Pino Palladino are almost there, but that's it.

@TheJohnnyCotts I think jhon is a excellent musician but Pete was a genius and pete still being the who's soul
-
@madamesabina12 I've seen the Who several times in my lifetime and as great as Roger and Pete are, John was MUCH better than either of them. He was one of the few musicians whose talent left me speechless.

No he (John Entwistle) is putting the sun on his his back and running a marathon in 20 minutes. That is what he is doing with his bass. He graduated from moving mountains in the 3rd grade.

This isn't his best, but still pretty cool. John was the consummate rock and roll bass guitarist.
