CASCADE RIVER (PART 2 OF 3) shows our crew finally reaching the headwaters of the Cascade River where we began to paddle, push, drag, carry, and bushwhack our boats and gear downstream. Eventually we would begin to paddle more than slog though the bush. The river gained momentum and volume as it descended toward Lake Superior. It is our best guess that some of the rapids have never been paddled before. This was a wilderness experience in the truest sense.
