Ghoul Patrol is a SNES game released in 1994 by JVC. It is a sequel to the game Zombies Ate My Neighbors, released a year before.

In the game, the two teenagers, Zeke and Julie, now adults, are back, but the situation is different. Eveything was OK when Zeke and Julie enter a horror exhibit and accidentaly read magical words in a book that releases ghouls and demons.

The main goal of the game is to save everyone you can from demons and ghouls' evil clutches. The game is similar to ZAMN in that aspect; it is, too, a gun and run 2D platform game.

The graphics of the game are better than the graphics in ZAMN, and that makes the game a bit slower.

Some extra features are also present in the game. The player can now jump, run, dash, use more weapons to destroy the enemies. The sound is also somewhat better than ZAMN.

Even though, most of the gamers prefer ZAMN. Some say the lag caused by the better graphics made the game boring to play, some say it's too complex for a gun and run game, some say the music and sound were better in ZAMN. No matter what, ZAMN is always considered to be better.

Ghoul Patrol wasn't a big hit like ZAMN (some players didn't even know it was a sequel to ZAMN, and the result was that a lot of gamers didn't even know about its existence), but it's, without a doubt, a fun game to play, specially in the cooperative mode. Have fun!

  • yeah ZAMN was much better in too many ways :S thanks for the info I really didn't konw this game but if the game is like its music i rater ZAMN (:

  • @tekuani85 Thanks for replying!I discovered this game many years after i first played ZAMN.I had no idea,in the beggining,it was a sequel to ZAMN,since ZAMN doesn't even have much of a story.

To be honest,i played this game few times and i only reached level 4.It lacks the speed and dinamic of ZAMN,where everything has to be very fast;it is,really, a run-and-gun game.Ghoul Patroul,on the other hand, is slower, too steady and heavy.ZAMN is my favorite, but you should also try GP, it is kinda fun!

  • The First Game is Definitely MUCH better

  • I think that, too. But GP can add some hours of fun in your day, too, specially if you are playing with a friend. However, ZAMN is definitely better.
