LIFE IN A DAY part 4 of 4
July 24, 2010
For my entry in the "Life In A Day" global experiment, I traveled to New Braunfels, Texas to the famed Phoenix Saloon.
The Phoenix Saloon is a bar, a kind of a restaurant, and a venue with stages for live music, a place whose claim to history is that this was the birthplace of Gebhardt Chili. If you've ever made or eaten chili, you owe that tasty meal partly to the Phoenix Saloon, for William Gebhardt, in 1894, concocted a combination of spices including dried chili peppers, grounded them into powder and began to spice up your world.
Today, July 24th 2010, Terri Hendrix performs with Lloyd Maines, Glenn Fukunaga, and John Silva.
Terri just released a new cd, "Cry Till You Laugh" and can be bought at her website (along with many more) at:

This is mainly just extraneous photos strung together in a slideshow format, using Terri Hendrix' "Let's Go." for background music. I shot 'em, so's I'm gonna use them! ;o)
Also, it's kinda like b-roll for the previous videos entered in the "Life In A Day" experiment..... Kinda. Sorta.
Strangely enough, it was harder to do this small slideshow video than the previous three! My poor Mac G4 processor isn't powerful enough to handle 720p. (In fact, I had to assemble the previous three videos in-camera... luckily this Life In A Day project pretty much wanted un-edited, raw, video. Yep my camera is faster than my computer! eep! And it's a small hand-held Sanyo Xanti HD camera, to boot!)
