  • @Wii624 The light is infrared. Only the camera sees it, not the turtles or the people standing around.

  • thanks. there is a night setting on my camera which i will try to use without flash. how come it looks like there is white light in the video?

  • In infra red mode on my camera, just infra red light gives a greenish cast. Red light gives a whiter-natural cast. On most cameras in a non ir night mode infra red illumination will have no effect, or light. Red light will give a redish or sepia effect.

  • Hello, thanks, did you use infra red and then take a shot on a normal camera without the flash? i want to take some shots of turtles but i won't use white light and my camera isn't fancy, any suggestions?

  • I was using a Sony camera that has a night infra red mode. Many other cameras with just a night mode can take decent images with sufficient regular red light.
