Trolling Lures for Giant Trevally!! Halco Laser Pro!! Catch and release!!

Another top day trolling the Great Barrier Reef, where we picked up a nice 15kg GT, Giant Trevally on a Halco Lure, one of my favourite and great on GT's and Spanish Mackerel, as well as Coral Trout. Really most of Your species found on the Reef will have a go at these lures, another one to try is the Rapala X Rap, another gun lure. Always great to release the Giant Trevally, to great to catch just once, and towing them is a great way to revive them. Only way to go, should be catch and release only for Giant trevally, great sportsfish

Am very new to this game i have abu garcia bruiser combo rod reel combination and i use halco laser pro didnt get any fish on it till this time, tried 4 days but no luck, tried on sea side port estuary where stream goes in to river in the evening and out to sea in morning. Can you suggest a method of fishing there am on shores of Arabian sea estuary India Kerala.

They are great lures and catch fish, Keep trying, but also pays to check with local knowledge and target areas that hold fish? Check with your local tackle shop and see if they can give you some tips. time and experience does help,

Good point, but gaffing in the mouth area does little damage and enables you to handle them better and quite often we will swim them on the gaff before releasing,

you shouldnt use gafting hooks on fish your going too release!

Halco laser pros are pretty awesome, and one of my favourites, definate must have in the tackle box, We get a lot of mackerel on them as well,
