  • Very helpful thanks for the video but that kid rushed things to much try getting an older assistant :)

  • @Elit3xKiilz

it's funny because we have a lot of very good goalkeepers at this young age and we wanted to use one of them, but this kid begged and begged me to let him do it. Probably a bad choice.

  • Thank you for your training. I am a high school coach and your video is helping me a lot.

  • @jbraga23

Thank you and all the best to you.

  • And, of course: To not do leaps to the ground shoots... you have to dive and stretch.

That means: Go down and next stretch long slight above the ground to long distance shoots.

    Do not leap....

  • @SteffenReichel

yes, I agree again. The goalkeeper has a very difficult time learning to bend at his knees in order to lower his center of gravity towards the ground, thus forcing to leap through the air for a ball that is on the ground. He was never able to break the habit.

great great video, Im coach myself(kids 6-12) and kids at this age are very enthused n excited by what they are doing. Loved how u handle his enthusiasm in 6:00 u probably telling him learning n proper execution of technique is more important at this time. Great job man n ill keep watching your videos for more tips

  • hello im 11 and im only 4,6 feet and i wonder if you think that i can be a goalkeeper or am i too short?

  • Thanks for the awesome video as it helped me alot , im going to watch more of the videos

  • @ddrosler

funny! seriously, nobody has ever gotten injured doing this. In fact this movement is doen by elite level athletes from a number of different sports for the sole purpose of both developing strength, as well as isolation of a particular movement. thanks for your concern, but no need to worry.

  • How many people got injured doing this? You should never jump like that unless you are going to fall.

  • its funny how the boy tries to say something and then the coach tells him off.

  • thanks for this video..i am a new goalkeeper at our university..im quite fast because i am a badminton player as well...and i want to learn more about diving..and again..thanks for your videos..=D

  • I have a tendency to close my eyes when making a save. Especially during long/high dives. Any tips for ways to keep them open?
