In this video press release, Assembly members Sheila Y. Oliver (D-Essex), Connie Wagner (D-Bergen), Celeste M. Riley (D-Cumberland) and Ruben J. Ramos, Jr. (D-Hudson) discuss a two-bill package that would increase awareness of and simplify enrollment in the state's two prescription assistance programs, respectively.

The first bill (A-137) would provide for automatic enrollment in either the Senior Gold Prescription Discount Program or the Pharmaceutical Assistance to the Aged and Disabled (PAAD) program if a person becomes ineligible for one but remains eligible for the other.

The second bill (A-1177) would require the state Division of Taxation to present the eligibility requirements and benefits provided by the Senior Gold program in the state's annually produced income tax filing instruction booklet.
