Here is some CITV IVC, from sometime in mid-1991, but the exact date is unknown sorry! It is presented by Tommy Boyd, with special guest, Pat Sharp. It was recorded in the TSW region. Apologies for the bad editing & poor quality in some places.

  • but its not the same. I would think of it as CITV only in name.

  • well:

    a) Central television practically don't exist anymore

    b) blame the government for banning junk food ads. That's where the money was to be made in CITV

    c) It would be pointless in a few years as everyone will have digital TV.

  • brilliant footage of CITV from 1991 :)

  • @MackMacProductions When Children's ITV first introduced it used to be at the ATV Centre in Broad Street, Birmingham from 1983 until 1997 when they moved to Gas Street, Birmingham in '97.

  • @pistak09 Have a look at the Children's ITV page on Wikipedia for lots of info about it's presenters & IVC over the years.

  • I like Huxley Pig and DuckTales. And Also Thomas the Tank Engine.

  • When was the last Children's ITV which had IVC.

  • @1982FMJ

Yes. Sky was relatively new and only about 1 in every 100 homes then. It wasn't until the mid-late 90s Satellite and Cable began really luring the audiences away from Terrestrial.

The early 90s were a great time to be a Primary School aged Kid.

  • I remember when I use to come home from school everyday to enjoy all the shows on CITV, they were so good back then^^ even those I couldn't stand at the time seem good to today's shows. that was the life, I long for my past:D

  • the 90s was a pretty good generation to be a young pre teen or young teen kid. Alot has changed in the past 20 years. THey don't really have alot of kids cartoons these days and now everybody has digital tv which not everybody had then.

  • The date for these links is Thursday 18th July 1991.

  • plaese 21hammadmossop plaese upload some more citv stuff you tube is the home of citv and that why i love your account
