I miss Security Forces lol

so fucking true

Niice. Think the best flight leadership i had was at BIAP 08'-09'. Everyone tried to keep the bullshit to a minimum. Everyone is gonna have those douche bag flight chiefs at some point in their careers. Take note of that so when you become one you know not to be "that asshole"

I only had one good flight chief my entire 6 years. :-( I
I never lost my individuality though. My hair was always super long and I always brought "unauthorized materials" with me to work. thats the SF way! oh, and i got out in 2005, before we had all this bad ass tech out there. Give me an ipad on post! Hell yeah!

@lanebatts26 A good flight chief was extremely rare! You gotta bring reading material and a dvd player with you! Do they really think we're gonna sit there for 8-12 hours and do nothing but look over SSI's? SCREW THAT! You know that they're chilling in SFCC or in the flight office reading or watching movies. It's a bullshit game they play and any flight chief that does not let their troops do that kind of stuff is a hypocrite.

Let him blow off steam. Every single one of us bitched abut the NCO's and officers we worked for when we were A1C, SrA ect. If he stays in he'll learn how hard your job as an NCO/Flt Chief can be.
The only detracting thing I will say about the vid is about the MX guys wearing only T-shirts on the flight line. Since leaving SF I have learned a great deal about MX guys and how much harder they have it than cops. If they wore ABU tops at work they'd ruin them inside the 1st day

@letslipthedogs I was in for 10 years, got out as a Tech Sergeant and I've run the flight. What was hard about the job? Dealing with bullshit from back office was the only hard thing I ever had to deal with in my career. They run operations, but know nothing about operations. Deployments? OH GOD! Nobody knows what the hell is going on over in the AOR. We had better structure when there was no structure back at BIAP in 2003. EVERYONE is SF has their head way up their ass these days.

@50101050 To explain what was hard about the job would take me far far more characters than youtube allows. I was a missile field flight chief at Minot the summer after the empty quiver incident. From that time period alone I could write a book about the inctricacies of pushing a flight and mentoring 19-25 year old kids.

@letslipthedogs I was never at Minot nor did I ever have a job that required PRP. Never heard about that incident either and nothing that I posted in my movie had anything to do with that kind of stuff.
