@deicholz67 For up and coming bands, true. Also, I just noticed that he said "I support by listening to their music" and didn't mention introducing it to others, so taking him literally, he doesn't support the band, like you said. You and RockSchooled just seemed to be implying that any fan has to pay for stuff in order to support the band, which is all I was refuting (and the fact that you immediately resorted to insults). No worries... your cause was noble, I just didn't like your approach.

@TubeofH2O Some of this is accurate.Introducing them to others is an effective way of support. However, commercials and promotions are not a possibility for most small up and coming bands. I'm involved with helping several bands. I help 2 local bands who will be going on tour this summer around the US for the first time. There's no commercial opportunities.Also, they'll be openers meaning they won't get much from tickets. Buying food will be based on cd and shirts sales night to night.

@deicholz67 and @RockSchooled That is not exactly accurate. He actually can support their music by downloading it illegally and then introducing them to new people, who may actually go buy the songs or see them in concert. Also, they can make money through commercials & promotions and the like. I'm not saying that paying customers aren't better than ones who don't, but they can & do support in ways, so assess your ability to assess before calling people ignorant losers and f**king idiots.
