Dawn Upshaw Master Class 10/24/09

Soprano Dawn Upshaw blends rare natural warmth with a fierce commitment to the transforming communicative power of music. She has achieved worldwide celebrity as a singer of opera and concert repertoire.

In this video, Upshaw leads a master class with Mimi Williams (student of Marilyn Moore), performing "Steal Me from "The Old Maid and the Thief" by Gian Carlo Menotti. Held at the Music Center at Strathmore in North Bethesda, MD, this master class was presented by the Levine School of Music and sponsored by the Mead Family Foundation.
