@psychosnake23 your best bet on a boat is to troll. Troll anything, from 2-3 foot long tubes to umbrella rigs, and you can even throw some surface lures and bucktails into the rip. on the fly from the boat toss some large poppers and streamer, typically on a lead base line. If from the shore, chunks will work, as will bucktails and poppers, and kastmaseters.

@xxxtremesportsxxx i went to monomoy years ago and had incredible luck but in the past few years there has been nothing, whats the trick

Just went fly fishing along the rips near monomoy island, and caught 23 stripers, all keepers, the rip was going off all day as the stripers had trapped a school of squid in the current.
