Really interesting cover, totally different in feel from the original, but brings enough of it's own ideas to the song to stand on it's own. Being a huge, huge ELO fan I'm usually really picky about covers of their stuff, but I rather like this version.

@LeetVajda You are correct, the radio samplings are all unique and actually show up later in the album as part of the story. Very awesome!

Probably the best opening to an album I've ever heard. . .awesome Dylan Thomas poem excerpt, then a kick-ass ELO cover!

I have heard other covers, and they sample something from the original. But I am not sure if ANY of this song is taken from the original, even the the radio sounds are all unique. In any case, I love it. I enjoy the ELo version, but in some ways this is catchier!

Big fan of ELO, but have to say this is a very good cover.
IMHO a solid 9/10 where I rate the original at 10/10.

@ACoolKidsProduction Reese's songs will be sung in heaven man i can tell you that his music has helped me get through my toughest times in my life. I am 29 now but 10 years ago i was going through a lot of strife and FIF got me through it (along with God)
