@zlatantillifk the 328i M52tu also have double vanos.
In speed an fuel they do both the same.

@louis2710 no you are wrong 1998-2000 M52TU 2800cc E46 328i, its replaced in 2001 by the M54 2500cc E46 325i.

@bofkontrm dude check the bmw websight from 2002 onwards they had the same engine but before that the 328 was a 2.8L you clearly dont know shit u betta ring someone from BMW and learn something could just about all of what you just said it wrong.

I still would preferr the 325 ci. Newr engine with double vanos too eyh? Also saves marginal fuel for that matter.

@AlexZandero, the E46 325i haves the newer engine the m54.
The E46 328i haves the older engine M52TU.
So there is no money saving here the 325i is the newer car.

Yes those specs are correct, but 0-100 km/h is with the 325i in 7,2sec and 328i 7,0 sec. The difference is not even noticable. Unless you chip it I suppose.
You can save money on buying a 325i instead of 328 because the acceleration and power is almost the same.
