Hello Neel, Please please please, try to upload a video on how to play dotara. I know it's a lot of work. But, try if you can. I am in US, collected a dotara, but unable to learn.

@BaulFan : I am now at Santiniketan , Bolpur in the the heart of folk music . I will try to upload a video but it will take one month or so time . Search some more music by "Basudeb Das Baul ". I left my job to learn it from Basudeb Da . If you are coming to kolkata in near future , just visit Santiniketan , with in 2-3 days you can learn a lot of thing and practice it back in US . Best wishes ............

@ neelofazrath : Thanks bro for information... i m planning to visit kolkata in Sept to get a Dotara. Hopefully.... So far based on my R&D i think 'Rabab' is the closest of all mainstream instruments, to 'Dotara'.... few of rabab playing lessons are available in youtube. What do you thing about it, is it helpful..

@itwasamit : I am trying to play dotara for approx 6 month . The only problem is you is there is no grammar , and people plays it are illiterate ( obviously in so called school education system) , so its extremely difficult . Although I am from Howrah , now I lives in Agartala and subhas da is from agartala, you you have any question just mail post the question , thank U .

Thank you so much Neel. In my work, all day I listen to Baul music. I have seen aoo the Basudeb Das Baul clips. Great!  I am jealous of you being in Santiniketan. Take your time and post some basics and close up shots, if you can. I know some other people also searching for some Dotara lessons on the net. It will be a big help.
