Well I was never taught about people being gay but I did learn to accept the fact that some people are different. It does bother me sometime, which makes me wish someone did tell us not to be haters. My sister was taught about it when she was young and she has no problem what so ever. I think the scarlet letter should be taught too just so kids know its the woman who gets in trouble 99.9 present of the time. And well it take two to tango.

Although the bill (as do all sex ed classes) have an opt out for parents and says the sexual education should be "age appropriate", it doesn't specify whether certain subjects are age appropriate or if the method of teaching is to be. It's too ambiguous and leaves too much for private interpretation. A liberal will read "Jill has two mommies" to teach 6 yr olds about homosexuality. A conservative wouldn't touch the subject with them.

I don't know my parents never lied to me on where babies came from and I wont lie to my kids either. When my mom was pregnant with my sister, she told me everything that was going on. Now I'm 23 years old and I'm fine. I didn't go out and have sex with every girl I could find and never got an STD. I have a girl friend and if we both get threw college who knows. Oh and I did wait until I was 18 before having sex. I turned out perfectly fine.

SB0099, the Illinois State senate Bill about sex education that Obama voted FOR, barely mentions "inappropriate" touching. It is in fact a comprehensive sex education Bill in every aspect & was changed from addressing 6th thru 12th grade to KINDERGARTEN thru 12th grade and includes: prevention of STD's & HIV, birth control, legality of sex with minors, medical terms, hygiene, etc. McCain DID NOT LIE about the bill and Obama's vote.
