Golden Sun Walkthrough: Part 34 - Trip to Tolbi (pt. 3) --- boss [Kraken]

We continue our job of protecting the rowers and come across one big sea monster, the Kraken. After a fierce battle, we arrive to land, but is it the right location? Watch to find out!

GUIDE:

Fight another group of monsters and find some rowers just like you have, but soon the ship will be attacked by the Kraken. Be prepared for this fight; he is notorious for being a difficult boss.

Boss - Kraken

Well, the Kraken sure looks intimidating. However, he isn't all that hard to be honest. Just like previous boss battles, buff up your team with Corona, Forge, Breeze, etc. and do NOT let Mia unleash djinn. She needs Wish big time for this fight and Mercury djinn won't do much here anyway. Then simply attack using Isaac, Garet, and Ivan. I'd prefer djinn for them, but spells like Ragnarok and Heat Wave can deal just as much damage as Flint and Scorch. Once you have four djinn on standby, summon away!

A big tip is that the Kraken can easily fall asleep or be stunned (as compared to other bosses). It didn't work for the couple times I tried, but it does work. With that, you could also simply have Ivan cast Sleep the whole time. Just remember that Mia should be using Wish the entire battle.

After that's over, pick the next and final rower and hopefully you'll land at an unfamiliar place. Find out what's within this island next time!

I ended up in a different spot then you O.O after I exit the boat, there's a small town (not really even a town, it has 1 house) with 1 house in it and after I leave that "town" I go a bit to the left and there's Tolbi... how did I get there instead of where you ended up? (If it's because of the people I chose, I chose: girl in green, chef, purple guy, green guy).

@ThePlacidVirus yeah, the people you choose determines where you go. You're actually at the right spot, so it's nothing to worry about. Later on you'll be able to go back to the island I landed on, so for now just keep moving on :)

Do you have to choose the rowers in that order to get to crossbone isle? :)

@bubby963 Yes, there's a specific order. All you really need to do is throw the boat's rowing off-balance, so you don't have to use those exact people, but it's easier than to try and find different people.

how do you get "wish" for mia?

I gave her only the Mercury djinn. Trade around if yours are mixed up. Also, Mia needs at least 4 Mercury djinn for Wish, so you might need to look for some more djinn if you don't have 4 yet.

I discovered that when ivan casts 'sleep' the kraken nearly always falls asleep! this helped me a lot when i fought him! good luck guys!
