This one shot is for all the fathers out there who were scared to death of being a first time dad.
It's for the girls who don't think they're dad understands them and they just take they're dad for granted.

I woke up finding my wife; Selena not beside me on our king sized bed. I rubbed my eyes, trying to erase my sleepy feeling as I looked around for the girl I've been wedded to for half a year.
I heard some noise coming from the bathroom; either that's our dog or Selena. Wait a minute we don't have a dog...
"Selena? Honey? What are you doing in there at this time?" I asked, half yawning.
"Hang on!" I heard her respond, and then I heard the toilet flush then she came out of the bathroom.
And there she was, my wife. I still can't believe she's my wife now! I mean yeah... we've been dating for 4 years and then when I proposed and—she's now my wife!
Selena Gomez is the most beautiful girl I've ever known. I just don't know what this girl has done to me, whenever I tried to let her go... I just can't unlike all my other relationships... after letting her go the second time... I knew I couldn't take it anymore. I was in love with this girl.
"Sorry, hon. I didn't mean to wake you." She said, sitting down on the bed beside me with a huge smile on her face.
"Nah, I was planning on sleeping in because of the late meeting last night but yeah... waking up at 6 in the morning's good enough." I joked.
I felt her jerk me gently with her shoulder and giggled. I always loved her smile and her laugh.
"So why were you up so early?" I asked.
"I was taking a test..." She smiled.
I got confused, "Huh?"
"I was taking this..." She said, pulling out a white stick. It was a pregnancy test. I took it looking at her while she smiled at me like wild. I looked down at the test at my eyes caught on a pink plus sign. I snapped into a smile.
"What does this mean? We're gonna have a family?" I asked like I didn't know what's going on.
She smiled at me and nodded, "Nick I'm pregnant!" She screamed.
"We're gonna have a baby?" I aksed.
"WE'RE GONNA HAVE A BABY!"
I grabbed her up, carried her in bridal style and jumped up and down on the bed, "WE'RE GONNA HAVE A BABY! WHOOO!!!!"
But then it hit me... so many questions ran in all of a sudden that I we crashed on our bed with a loud Bang! I was surprised we didn't break the bed.
"Why'd you stop?" She asked.
"I'm sorry but isn't this to fast?" I asked.
"What? What do you mean?" She asked.
"What do I mean? Selena this is... this is..."
"Honey, we expected this to happen anytime soon! I mean you forgot to pack a condom on our honey moon!" Thanks for rubbing that in my face... for the thousandth time.
"Yeah, but we had a plan! I mean we... bees are still all over the place! We haven't caught a single one yet!"
"Well, we're married... that's a big bee... that's like the Queen Bee!"
I couldn't answer so I turned my back away from her and sat on the other edge of the bed. I felt her arms, "Honey, what's wrong?" She whispered kissing my cheek.
I sighed and decided to just tell her the truth. I never learned how to lie to her anyway. "I just... I don't know how to a father. I mean I never knew or felt fatherly love. I mean you know the story about my dad."
It was true; my dad wasn't the best dad ever. He was an alcoholic and a dug addict at the same time. He would beat up my mom for no reason and if me and my brothers would try to stop him, he'd beat us. When we were finally able to put him in rehab our lives went down low cause even though he had a lot of issues, he was great at providing for our family. After he got out, he divorced with my mom and got ran off to Vegas with a stripper from the down town strip club (where he gets wasted).
"Nick... I've seen you with kids, you're awesome." She said.
"I scare them away!" I contradicted.
"Nick that was one time and it was Halloween!"
I didn't answer; more questions ran into my head. What if the child'll hate me? What if I'm not a good enough dad? What if Selena would hate me just because I can't take care of a child?
"Nick I won't leave you if you can't take care of a child." She assured me as if she read my mind... did she?
"I'm just scared of being a dad, okay." I admitted.
"Nick, everyone's scared of being a first time parent, even I am!"
"You are?" I found that hard to believe.
"Yes! I'm scared shitless! Nick, I'm the one who's gonna squeeze a child size of a watermelon out of my vagina!" She ranted, while laughing. I couldn't help but laugh too.
"Nick, you can do this... We can do this. I promise. Its just gonna be one baby for now and if the time comes, who knows... you might ask me for another one!" She joked.
"I love you..." I said randomly
"I love you too!" She replied, rubbing her finger on my cheek.
I took her word for it as I sealed the deal with a kiss on her lips.
