  • haha awesome i did this exercise today with 40 each side of the bar too. only got 11 reps though but my first attempt :P

are you doing half reps on purpose to make it harder because of increased intensity or easier cos its over faster?

  • @ballbagbaggins Well i wouldn't call them half reps,i'm just not locking out.I never lockout on high reps sets like this.Locking out just takes me out of my rhythm for doing fast reps....no other reason really.

  • I think you had 34 reps in you Mark. You'll have it next time for sure. Congratulations to Glen on that one as well. He looks to be a little older, so that's awesome for his age. Keep up the heavy training guys.

  • @cyberkai99 Thanks my friend! Yeah it wasn't a good day anyway for me i felt weak and did these as a after thought at the very end of the workout.I think on a good day i have around 36 or so.I'll try again soon.A little older lol ...do i look that old haha.Yeah Glenn is 61 and i'm 41yrs old.Yeah Glenn is doing the best he has in many yrs!

    How's your training going Gavin?

ok cool thanks. i was just wondering what would be a better way for me to train. maybe the shorter reps to increase intensity to focus more on chest then blast my tris another day :)

  • All I can say is that you are PURE DELICIOUS BEEF!!! ;-)

  • Not you, Mark. Looking at you, I would think you're in your late 20's or early 30's, if I didn't know better. But Glen certainly looks in his 50's and to bench 220 for reps is awesome for him. As for my training, bench training couldn't be going any better, but injuries have been preventing my squat and deadlift from growing as they should be.
