Yes. You can do mail via the web. Hotmail, yahoo, aim. gmail without any problems.

@cabroneitor1000 yes the PlayBook does have a PIN so I would expect a native bbm with a future os update/upgrade.

please do reply back as the only reason i would wana get playbook is to use bbm on it and for that i would have to sync...
