There is a reason that the KKK was the Progressive/Liberal "Action" wing of the Democrat Party. And that the Democrats were the Party that put a KKK member on the Supreme Court, wrote the "Jim Crow" laws, formed the KKK, Put a KKK leader into the Senate, who filibustered the Civil Rights laws, and then elected him to the position of Senate Majority Leader.
