This is Part 2 of the review for the 3M MPro120 Pico Projector.
In this part, we demonstrate how it'll perform, visually, under normal, and extreme lighting conditions, as well as in a pitch dark environment.
Also, you get to see the dot matrix pattern of the LCoS display.
NOTE: When doing the 100+ inch video test, the actual appearance of the projected image is brighter and more clear than shown, due to the limitation of MP4 video, and a camera that's not quite as sensitve in the dark.

It's new tachnology. I'm sure they'll be a lot brighter in a couple years. Albeit not as small, there's some Picos with 100+ lumens.

  • Thanks for the review! i bought it and am now commenting you on it.keep it up!

It is a universal supply. Just didn't remember, since losing it. :) I use the MPro100's to run it (until I find the "right" one).

  • @georgef551 Oh I'm not worried about the plug, (after watching a few reviews/unboxing videos) I noticed they come with 4 different plugs.

I can only just assume that the supplied adapter is a travel-type (universal) and works in different regions (110V-240V).

But just wanted to confirm that, as I will be traveling and would like a universal power adapter.

Anyway, I appreciate the time taken to respond to my questions, you're a nice bloke.

    Cheers

Albeit in a pitch black room, you can get away with 120", 60" in a dark room, with very limited light (refrigerator light equivelant).

  • @tohey

I'm sure the plug will be for your region, if you purchase from a site or store in your country.

  • I am just about to purchase this.

Could you confirm for me whether the power supply is universal?

I know in the U.S. it's rated at 110V, whilst other countries are 220-240V.

    Does this work for both?

    Thank you.

  • Hi George,

I actually have one more question.

What would you say is the largest, watchable screen size this pico projector can produce?

I know it is rated for up to 50 inches, but can it go better in a dark room? Or is 50" the absolute limit and actually where it gets quite bad?

    Thanks again.
