  • Did you actually just waste my time showing me an identical demo on 8 different devices?

  • @reach4thelasers The whole point was showing how you can build an app for multiple devices using the same code. The fact that the demo is identical is actually a good thing.

  • Did you need a proxy to access the yahoo traffic data?

  • @stevenng33 Nope, for this demo code I hijacked joScript to fetch the data as a script node. Yahoo's RESTful services allow you to set a callback wrapper function for this exact purpose. Much easier to use this technique when possible (and from a trusted source).

  • @tschundeee: for iPhone apps, I use PhoneGap (phonegap dot com) in conjunction with Jo. It's also an open source framework and handles low-level stuff.

@mc0nstable: if you have one of these devices, would love to get your feedback. And yeah, making a phone app into a tablet app is a little interesting. I'll have a more tablet-friendly version of the traffic app soon, but I have a lot of todo's above that one for Jo. :)

  • Good guess, but that's my CPU temp. :)
