Just remember. depression spawns creativity. Manchester had some decent rock bands in the 70s and 80s. it still looks depressing though lol. But in California you have Government Welfare that rents large suburban homes in once middle and upper middle class neighborhoods in large spanish style homes. In the last 7 years our town has had a murder epidemic and the once safe suburbs has become unsafe to walk around. no lie. Having a nice home these days doesn't make you safer.
