Ebony Eyes (Everly Brothers cover)

This is my FIRST cover song!

I wanted to do this one because it's one of my favourite by the Everly Brothers and it's simply beautiful.

I used to play on the streets for many years in Ottawa and other cities and for a while I played with two brothers who taught me to love country music and the Everly Brothers. We sang it in 3-part harmony so I tried to re-create that here.

I hope you like this version and listen to the amazing songs of the Everly Brothers.

This was my Mum's favourite song. She died 8 years ago today and I play this beautiful song for her every year at 11.10pm which was when she passed.

A great day for the Everlys; on this date in 1961 {Jan. 30th} "Walk Right Back" and the flip side "Ebony Eyes" both entered Billboard's Hot 100 chart and both would eventually peak in the Top 10. "Walk Right Back" reached No. 7 while "Ebony Eyes" made it to No. 8!!! (I posted this comment here because I couldn't find this song by the Everly Bros. on You Tube)

@OKSteve I will go check out your upload. I always liked this song but was rather stressed about how to do the narration. I just went ahead and did it and hopefully it's ok. Can't compare it to the original and I wouldn't even try. I now wish I only did 2 part harmony instead of 3. Anyhow, thanks for the comment and good luck with your videos.
