The typical self-righteous left attitude to any problem.

our government hates their own people and wants to fill their own pockets to spite their own people.we are the sheep and we should do what we are told by our rulers

That muslim cunt lawyer has no idea , it is clearly a pull factor that is causing this filth to float in and pollute this great nation. She is probably seeking sharia law in Australia. She never talks about giving compassion to Australian..She should be deported. What a xtreme left wing crowd and tv show.

Th red carpet is better than what is given to the 105,000 homeless Australians. The government doesn't even given them a piece of carpet to sleep on and allow security guards to steal their blankets during winter. This bloody Labor Government provides $1,400,000 on cigarettes per year to boat people. People do choose to be asylum seekers. Why between 2002-03 and 2007-08 did only 301 people chhose to come to Australi by boat then from 2008-09 to 2010-11 11,500 people arrived. LABOR POLICY??

the red carpet treatment doesn't end at the detention centre, far from it. They are given assistance with housing, phones, centrelink payments and other benefits even after they have been given jobs in our community. All this when i have friends who have worked all their lives, paid their taxes all their lives and are still denied a pension from our government. Bill Shorten hasn't a clue, no idea what so ever as per most union officials who have never got their hands dirty.
No the majority of Aust do not want to end mandatory detention. What the majority of Aust want is an end to illegal arrivals by boat and by plane and a dramatic cut back of the immigration intake in general. For the gov. to be more selective about the people they allow to settle here. To extend the period to qualify for citizenship and an end to the ridiculous "multicultural" policy.

When are you bloody lot going to do what the majority of Australians want (THE MAJORITY)
Is that to hard to figure out, the MAJORITY want the BOATS STOPPED.
I can see the day when the boats will not come one or two at a time but TEN AT A TIME.
