Negative. The water drains off(provided that you have an inclination). The only thing you might experience is ruining a couple of waterbubbles.

Not a good idea. Wax attracts dirt. Which means you would get the excact opposite effect of this product in the long run.

Try using wax to get the exact same result. No miracle here.

the water is still there, it's just not soaking into the surface. it may actually be MORE slippery this way.
